Sleek look, bright inside, produces plenty of ice

We are enjoying this new refrigerator. Kids like the crushed ice and water being accessible closer to their height, too. The LED lights inside provide lots of light to see everything. For some reason, the space feels like there is less available than our older and smaller refrigerator but I'm not sure why. For our needs, we pulled out the bottle shelf to make more room and are probably going to purchase a "regular" shelf on the refrigerator side.

It's brand new- has never worked since day 1!!We have had nothing but issues since we got this. At first we thought the ice maker didn't work. Called in and they put in a warranty claim. The repair company never came out, called and said oh, it's a common problem. They said they had to order a door that takes 10 weeks to come in! We then noticed that the freezer wasn't getting to freezing temps. Maybe had they sent a technician out they would have discovered that. Placed another call and now waiting to hear from the tech that was supposed to call me right away! Finally went back to Lowe's and they will replace, but again it's going to take 4 weeks to get a new one in. Only buy if you can do without for weeks on end!!

I bought this refrigerator to replace my truly beautiful GE Monogram because it had a continuous problem with moisture. So far, this Kitchenaid has been great. I don't know what will follow, but I'm liking it! I also love the ice reservoir in the door. It's a great use of space. I am going to have to purchase additional shelves to maximize the space.

The only issue is the ice spensor. The ice comes out so fast some of the ice pops out of the glass falling on the floor or tray. Other wise I like everything else about this refrigerator.

I've only owned this fridge for a month now but I have no complaints. Functions great, looks amazing and is very quiet. Arrived with a broken drawer, called customer service had they had a replacement shipped out with a few days.

We chose this refrigerator based on two factors. One it was counter depth and two had sufficient capacity for a more than average size family. We also liked very much the icemaker in the door which did not take up the shelf capacity inside.

Looks nice and works great so far. But, for a high end price pretty poor quality of the exterior and interior. Bottom cover should be stainless instead of plastic. Looks a bit cheap. Flimsy drawers, don't move in and out smoothly as you would expect from a high quality unit. Don't expect them to last long until they break. Should come with additional shelf and door bins for more flexibility and use of space. Seems to have production issues with protruded door insulation - see pictures. First unit came with bent doors, second one is better but still not what I would expect from the higher end KitchenAid brand. Quality control doesn't seem up to speed - see pictures. Overall ok but not worth the additional price to comparable products.

We bought this 4 months ago and have already had to replace the ice maker. In addition the ice maker freezes up and will not auto dispense. Today I had to leave the door open to defrost and bang on it because I couldn't open the ice maker due to it freezing up. We use it frequently so no reason for freezing up and it doesn't make ice very frequently. I do NOT recommend. We have all kitchen aid products and now we are considering a non matching brand for a fridge. Stinks!

For the price we paid, this refrigerator fit the bill. The drawers are inexpensive and tinny. Not substantial. The freezer door came with a dent that will take 6 weeks or more to replace. The space is adequate and we can fit everything needed inside. The no fingerprint doors are great.

This freight replaces a larger Kitchenaid refrigerator that worked great but stuck out in our kitchen about 6 inches. This new counter-depth model fits perfectly. While space inside is slightly smaller, if feels very roomy and works great for a family of four. What would make it better would be a door shelf for drinks. There's plenty of space for one but it's not included.

We purchased this fridge ( along with matching gas stove and dishwasher ) and when it was delivered and unwrapped, the ice maker panel was off the door enough to see the styrofoam panels inside. Furthermore, the foam they use to fill the door panel overflowed buckeling the top seam of the freezer door and also out of the bottom of the fridge side door. The Maytag Store we purchased it from ordered 2 new doors to replace these ( their service has been outstanding ). When the service tech checked on the 2 new doors shipped, he recommended not installing them since they were even worse than the 2 already on it. The new freezer door had foam all over the interior panel and the ice maker was once again off the door panel. The fridge door have numerous foam blow outs. Sadly this was not the only appliance we had issues with. The Kitchenaide dishwasher door had rust marks on the interior ( which Maytag Store replaced ) and our new Kitchenaide gas stove arrived with all the knobs bent and pointed up ( Maytag Store once again replaced - the whole gas manifold was made incorrectly ) We do love how the appliances operate, but are extremely upset with the quality of the items based on their cost. At this time we are currently waiting to hear from the Maytag Store on what to do next. They are trying to get in contact with Kitchenaide to see what to do next.

$500 repair bill after only 3 years

Really disappointed; we put in $9K worth of KitchenAid appliances in our custom home in 2016 and the refrigerator is already failing and costing us money. Nothing is made like it used to be - what a shame that appliances that used to last 20 years are now engineered to last only 8. I've always trusted the KitchenAid name but feel very let down this time around.
