I bought this a couple weeks ago and used it a few times now. It blended up frozen fruit really well once they thawed slightly, it didn't really work when pulled directly from the freezer. It's really easy to clean! Definitely worth the sale price, $30.

Powerful blender but not very versatile

All my Kitchenaid appliances are Empire Red, so any new additions to my collection must also be this color. Unfortunately the blenders that come with more attachments and accessories are the 3- & 5-speed, which aren't offered in empire red. I was really hoping the 2-speed could fit the whisk attachment from the higher speed models but it's not built to have switch out attachments like this. This model doesn't even come with the storage bag, hence the 4 star rating. Sturdy build and powerful with the two speeds it does offer, just not as versatile as I was hoping. I hope Kitchenaid considers offering the other models in more colors (especially a classic color like Empire Red).

Loved it, but it broke

I enjoyed using this stick blender... and I was so disappointed when the plastic part that connects the blender to the handle cracked... so now it's useless, and there are NO PARTS AVAILABLE! :( Since we're all looking out for the environment... would be nice to be able to replace this section if it's going to break so easily.

Blender does a great job.

I recently purchased the hand blender to blend bone marrow soup to feed an adult daughter with serious health problems. After cooking the soup needs to be blended to reduce the size of solid particles and emulsify the fat. This is done while the soup is hot, and this unit has worked perfectly. A critical tool in the soup production.

Doesn't last, poor customer service

Lasted 5 months until the plastic gear that engages the stick to the motor stripped. Customer service have me a hard time bcs I could not produce a receipt. They said they would follow up with an email, which they didn't. Went to Kohl's to get my receipt printed out and they just exchanged the unit. We will see how long the new one lasts.

My go to blending tool!

I received this as a Christmas present form my husband, 3 years ago, because I complained about how bad a job our regular blender blended the pureed soup I was making. I hated having to blend small portions of a big batch of soup in the regular blender, and don't get me started on the MESS! Enter this beautiful little tool! Less mess. Less fuss. Blend in the pot I was cooking in with minimal dishes. It was also very handy for pureed baby food and smoothies. I reccomend it to all my friends and Facebook Mommy groups I am a part of. Saves so much space in the kitchen and is so versatile <3 The only thing that could make it better is if you can add/purchase different blending heads or a whisk to it. (Maybe it does and I just don't know about it)

I purchased the hand blender and use it almost every day. I can make smoothies easily, quickly, no mess. I had oral surgery 2 weeks ago and I cannot imagine having to use anything else to puree soups, gravies, sauces with anything else. It has made this part of my journey so much easier.
