Bought this a coupe of years ago, old one had problem with lid latching closed, wife called to inquire about warranty. Initially she was told nothing could be done until she was able to explaine it was part of our pro line collection. No questions asked they mailed us new one with label to send back broken one. Works as beautifully as it looks sitting on my counter!

I had my eye on this kettle for awhile and was happy when my old one finally quit so I could go and buy one. It is a treat to have the different temperature settings as I am a tea lover and different teas are best brewed at specific temperatures. I also love the ease of having a removable base so you can just lift the kettle off to reffill without unplugging.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kettle!!!

I received one of these for a Christmas gift, the only thing I asked for. I posted an earlier review stating that there was a slight problem with the wiring, and it wouldn't stay on. The very next day, KitchenAid contacted me, had a new one sent out and a return prepaid label for the old one. I am still loving this kettle, I drink about a gallon of iced tea per day in the warmer months, along with 2-3 cups of hot tea to get me going in the morning. It holds enough to make two 1/2 pitchers of tea concentrate, and fill my 16 oz. hot mug in the morning. It heats very quickly to the temperature you want and shuts off, dinging gently to let you know when it is done. Highly recommended, and the color matches the rest of my kitchen countertop appliances!

This Kettle is amazing. It's like jewelry for the counter. I ordered the pearl white to match my other kitchenaid products. Love it! The water is always perfectly warmed due to temp setting. I love it, except...

I received this kettle for Christmas, 2015. I really love it, it's exactly what I asked for. I make 3-4 large thermos cups of hot tea each day, and in the summer, 2 half gallons of brewed iced tea, every day. There seems to be some wires loose in the plug, however, and i have to fight with it every morning to get it to stay on. Do i need to return it to KitchenAid, or the place where it was purchased?

What a Great Tea Pot!

I've had this tea pot for over a month now and it's been a joy to use. It heats the water quickly and keeps it hot over several cups of tea. If you love a good cup of tea, I'd highly recommend purchasing this pro-line series electric kettle.

Love it!

I use this kettle a LOT. Being in CA I even use it to boil water to do small amounts of dishwashing. I've had it since it first came out (few years). At the time I was not a tea drinker and thought I wouldn't have much use for it, but now it is indispensable. That said, it may be ending it's life. Searching to find any kind of troubleshooting stuff here, but not so lucky, so if someone could help, that would be great.

Great Kettle

Not only does it look great but it is also functions well. The best part of the kettle is the fact that the temperature can be adjusted and it chimes once it has reached the desired temperature. Too bad there is no Pro Line long 2 slot toaster to match the kettle.

A Kettle That Looks Great and Works Great

I had been complaining to my wife about wanting a kettle to heat water just for tea. She got this - looks great, red stands out and we get a lot of comments. The controls and temperature gauge read out correctly. Heat up time is reasonable and a loud bell goes off at the set temperature - for us that is 90. Yes we get a little crud from hard water, but not an issue.

Great product

I have had this kettle for almost 2 years when it started working intermittently. I checked the warranty and called Kitchen Aid. They shipped out a replacement, were gracious and gave clear instructions for returning old kettle, They paid for shipping and the new kettle began with it own 5 year warranty. It makes me more apt to buy other products from them. I love that the outside doesn't get hot since we have kids around. I like the temperature controls and checked their accuracy and they were correct. It also is a really nice look.

Fantastic Kettle

I bought this as we boil water daily for making coffee (coffee press) and tea. I love the ability to select the temperature of the water which is great when making different varieties of tea. It comes to a boil amazingly fast.

Perfect tea!

This kettle is far better than my tradition stovetop kettle. The temperature adjustment is perfect for making different types if tea, hot chocolatr, etc. I wish I had bought this ling ago. Excellent quality which I expect from Kitchenaid. I have a number of Kitchenaid products including a mixer bought in 1977!

Stylish, Functional and Economical

We love this kettle! Initially I thought it was a bit extravagant, but having used it for a month now, it was totally worth it. It does exactly as described. It boils in minutes and is really quiet. It also holds the water to temperature for quite a while after it has boiled, so it re-boils in hardly any time at all. I love the variable temperature control as the water can be heated to the perfect temperature for herbal teas. My husband is a regular breakfast tea junkie, and even he noticed the difference in the taste of his tea with the water heated to the right temperature. Also, it compliments our KitchenAid toaster perfectly! Love, love, love it!

Disappointed

I bought this Electric Kettle about 3 months ago. I really don't like it. It has lost it's sheen,is quite heavy, and the underside is sharp. The mettle sticks out. Cutting hazard. The bell to let you know the water is boiled the way you like it,is so low, that even in the same room it's hard to hear. It's a nice piece of eye candy though.

Ready bell

For the price of this kettle, I'm very curious why the ready bell sound is so low. The meaning of watching water boil, is true. If I am on my computer, I forget about it. I can't hear the ding on it, so the water is not hot as I set it, if at all. Unless you plan on sitting on this kettle to know when it's at your boiling level, well then......

Low profile, easy to keep clean, variable temperature, rapid boil, convenient flip-top lid, volume level indicator near handle on kettle, dual stainless steel wall construction, a silicon plastic liner for cleanliness, nearly spot-free inside after use, analog temperature gauge on kettle with both degrees C or F, drip-free pour spout neatly dispenses liquids. Convenient temperature slide selector on base for accurate temperature desired, No keep-warm function however, the dual walled kettle retains temperature well and will bring desired temperature back in under a minute. Simply press the ON/OFF button on the base and this rapid heating kettle will warm the contents quickly. Temperature selector and water level indicator are both LED lit and a faint, but audible tone sounds to indicate contents are warm to desired temperature. First impression is the bit pricey cost and no keep-warm function but the functionality is excellent and saves energy with the rapid warming capability. Concerned about stains at inside base of kettle

I bought this kettle a few weeks ago and am now seeing two stains on the inside base. I used some Silvo ( tarnish remover) and they appear to have disappeared. I am however concerned that this should happen and so soon with a high-end kettle.

Excellent Electric Tea Kettle

I've had my Kitchenaid kettle for about three months and couldn't be happier. It's a cheerful red (every kitchen needs a bit of red) and the shape reminds me of old style teapots. My favorite things are the variable temps, which allow me to get the correct brew for different kinds of tea and the comfortable, cool handle. The fact that the exterior stays cool, too, is another plus. What I would change: a slightly louder chime when the water has reached it's proper temperature and a larger capacity.

Really great product

I will admit I did think twice before purchasing this Kitchen Aid product because of the price tag. I should have known that I would be most pleased with any Kitchen Aid product. We have come to the habit daily of afternoon tea. While I have had several hot water kettles in the past, this one is the big winner in the best of the best category. The really nice thing about it is being able to adjust the temperature of the water for various types of black or green teas which require different temperatures to make the tea the best possible quality output. Only drawback is that I wish the alarm signal for when the water temperature is reached would be a bit more obvious. Thus I rather hover over the pot to be able to pour the water at its peak temperature for good tea making.
